Constitutional Amendment Defining Marriage

Timilty opposed same-sex marriage in Massachusetts

Bill# S 2220 - Rollcall vote #103 - This bill was an attempt to block same-sex marriage. Repealing Out of State Marriage Restrictions

Timilty also opposed same-sex marriage for people from outside Massachusetts

Bill# SB 800 Rollcall vote #462 July 29, 2008 - With this law, even out-of-state same-sex couples can marry in Massachusetts. Governor Deval Patrick signed a bill repealing a 1913 law that barred couples from marrying in Massachusetts if their marriage would not be recognized in their home.
